A day trip to Land’s End

Chris and I took a day trip to Lands End in Cornwall England this past August and I have to say… it was one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. While visiting England - we rented a car and drove down to Cornwall for a weekend trip. We stayed two nights in Penzance - which you can read all about in my other article. While staying in Penzance, we day tripped to Lands End and just spend the entire day taking in the sights. This had to be one of the most beautiful places we visited.

We visited Lands End on August 6th and it was the perfect time to visit. There were very minimal crowds and the weather was beautiful and sunny and the perfect temperature. We arrived early right as they opened since our hotel in Penzance was only a short drive away. When you enter the park, you can go right in and enjoy your day and all the sights. They just ask that you pay for your parking on the way out, I believe it only cost us $7 or $8 USD for the day to park.

What We Did:

There was so much to do here and even if you didn’t want to do any of the touristy attractions - you could spend hours just looking at the beautiful nature all around you. We mainly just walked around and took pictures and enjoyed being outside. But they had a ton of different shops, restaurants, a bar and even an indoor mini-golf park.

What We Ate:

We had ate breakfast at our hotel before leaving so we weren’t too hungry while we were here. But we did make sure to stop and get some cider just so we could get the refillable lands end cup.

Be Prepared:

Be prepared to walk and do some small hikes while you are here. Lands end was huge and there was so much to explore. You can kind of make up your way while you are here depending on how much you want to see. We spent a few hours here and defiantly did not see everything there was to offer. I would love to go back someday to see it all. Make sure you wear comfortable shoes and bring some sunblock as there is not much coverage. And lastly, make sure you don’t forget your camera!
