A Day Trip in Villajoyosa Spain

I had to dedicate a separate post just for this day trip alone, that is how much I loved this town. From its vibrant buildings to its stunning seafront promenade, this coastal town was a feast for my wanderlust-filled eyes. Villajoyosa was beautiful to explore, I would recommend at least one full day here to walk around and take it all in.

If you are planning on visiting in any of the summer months, make sure you pack a reusable water bottle and your sunscreen essentials because it was very ~ hot.

Arriving in Villajoyosa, I was immediately drawn to its picturesque streets that seemed to have been dipped in a rainbow. The rows of brightly painted houses in shades of pink, blue, green, and yellow were a sight to behold. I couldn't resist taking countless photos all throughout this town. Each street had its own unique color palette, making it a photographer's paradise. I couldn't help but feel like I had stepped into a fairytale village!

We hopped into our rental car from Moraira and luck was on our side - we found a free parking spot right in town. As soon as we stepped out of the car, we were blown away by the colorful buildings that greeted us. Every street we walked down had a different view that was simply unbeatable. If you're planning to visit Villajoyosa, make sure to bring your camera, because this place is a photographer's dream come true!

We spent more than half a day just strolling around and taking pictures. The vibrant hues of pink, blue, green, and yellow painted on the buildings created a magical backdrop for our photos. But that's not all - as we were wandering, we heard some lively music playing in the distance. Intrigued, we followed the sound and stumbled upon a street craft fair with a live band playing. I was thrilled! The band was amazing, playing some old-time hits that we all knew, and we couldn't resist dancing and singing along right in the middle of the alleyway. It was a one-of-a-kind experience that made our day even more special.

After we strolled through the rest of the craft fair and purchased some hand-made goodies to bring home with us, we made our way down to the beach. Lined with swaying palm trees and dotted with colorful benches, it offered breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea. The salty sea breeze and the warm golden sunlight made me feel like I was in paradise. We walked up and down the coast and stopped for lunch at one of the many restaurants that lined the seashore.
