My Top 10 Favorite Places To Eat At The Jersey Shore

When you think about eating at the Jersey Shore, you probably think about seafood. But as a vegetarian foodie who was born and raised here at the Jersey Shore, I have to say that there are so many other healthy and fresh options that don’t include seafood. From classic Italian dishes to trendy fusion cuisine, there's no shortage of great places to eat along the coast. Here are my top 10 favorite spots to enjoy a vegetarian meal at the Jersey Shore.

  1. Talula's - Located in Asbury Park, Talula's is a farm-to-table restaurant that sources their ingredients from local farms and artisan producers. The menu is constantly changing, but their pizzas are always a hit, especially the “New Jack City” with vegan pepperoni.

  2. La Mondina - This Italian restaurant in Sea Bright has a great selection of vegetarian options, including homemade pasta dishes like their Rigatoni Al La Norma.

  3. Nettie's House of Spaghetti - This is one of my favorite restaurants at the shore. Their food is absolutely delicious and they have a ton of vegetarian options. One of my favorites is their Zucchini Parmasean and the side of Chopped Broccoli Rabe.

  4. Taka - For a more upscale dining experience, head to Taka in Asbury Park. They have a dedicated vegetarian sushi menu that includes creative rolls like the mango avocado roll and the asparagus tempura roll.

  5. Seed to Sprout - With locations in Avon-by-the-Sea and Fair Haven, Seed to Sprout is a vegan cafe that serves up wholesome, plant-based dishes like acai bowls, smoothies, salads, and sandwiches.

  6. Killer Pies - This pizza joint in Asbury Park has a variety of delicious pizza choices like their Green Pie. They also have homemade sodas that are out of this world and they are a BYOB!

  7. 10th Ave Burrito - This popular Mexican spot in Belmar has a variety of vegetarian options, including veggie burritos, tacos, and nachos. Their homemade guacamole is a must-try.

  8. Mogo Korean Fusion Tacos - For a unique twist on traditional Korean cuisine, head to Mogo in Asbury Park. They offer Korean-inspired tacos and rice bowls with vegetarian options like tofu and kimchi.

  9. Porta Asbury Park - This trendy restaurant in Asbury Park has a great atmosphere and a menu that includes wood-fired pizzas, salads, and pasta dishes. Their Margherita pizza is a vegetarian classic.

  10. Local Urban Kitchen - This trendy organic eatery is one of my favorite lunch spots. They have a ton of vegetarian and vegan options. My favorite is the Grilled Veggie Panini with a side of Sweet Potato Fries.
